CoolLine
Trumpf CoolLine
Specifically used for thicker materials, the CoolLine function sprays water coaxially onto the processing point through a special nozzle. Heat is drawn away from the sheet through the vaporisation energy of the water. Cooling is thereby achieved and the temperature remains almost constant during the cutting process.
The CoolLine feature from TRUMPF helps to prevent problems when laser cutting material of inconsistent composition and surface quality, such as the thick, low-carbon steel. Material like this can reach considerable temperatures near the point of cut, which in turn can impede the cutting process, especially where delicate and intricate shapes are involved. If the kerf overheats, it can even set off a self-burning reaction where material left in the cut burns and causes slag to stick to the rear surface of the sheet.
The CoolLine feature ensures that temperatures are kept constant by spraying a fine water mist around the point of cut. The evaporation of just 30ml of water per minute provides 1kW of cooling, and its use allows tighter parts nesting and narrower skeletons, resulting in better material utilisation.
More importantly, it allows us to offer our customers a high quality laser cutting capability on parts that would have previously had to have been performed using costly water jet cutting technology.

Highspeed Eco – The Game Changer. More throughput, lower consumption
Laser cutting is like racing – a good machine must be coordinated so that it reaches the target without manual readjustment. With the Highspeed Eco cutting procedure, we can set speed records for nitrogen cutting with a solid-state laser.
Trumpf BrightLine
TRUMPF BrightLine technology represents a breakthrough in laser cutting capability. It is a technology that allows more beam diameter adjustability.
